Robot Builder's Camp
Join us for this 1/2 day camp
This camp is intended for kids 10+ We learn to program our bots using a simple drag and drop block-style programming language. Kids learn the basics of programming though simple control structures of motion, stepping and looping, automation and sound.
Monday
On Day 1, we introduce our robot and discover how it works and how to program it during the week. Our level 1 bot is the EdTank. This simple design demonstrates how to build the basics of a robot. We learn how to program our robot to give it instructions on how to navigate it's environment.
Tuesday
On Day 2, we advance to the Level 2 bot, the EdDigger. This bot is slightly more difficult to build. We also begin to learn how to break down complicated task like moving to a specific location and loading the bucket with materials.
Wednesday
Day 3 brings the Ed RobotClaw! We use this exciting robot to teach motor speed and torque. Can you pick up all the items fast with this level 3 bot!
Thursday
Day 4 is the Ed Crane. Travel direction, balance, lifting power are what this level 4 bot teaches us.
Friday
The level 5 bot Ed Printer is the grand finale for day 5. We put this bot together and teach it to write and draw!
